Plantsbrook Nature Reserve- Walk 25

We've never been to Plantsbrook Nature reserve before. To be honest before this weekend we didn't even know it existed. We may have noticed the signs- but never registered. It's opposite Pype Hayes Park and behind a housing estate. It really was a great find. We saw a heron on the water.

The girls came along with us as we were on the way to the hospital to hopefully pick my sister up and take her home (she did come home!).

Emma, Amy and Holly

The reserve was a very pretty place with wooden walkways around it- so I imagine it is walkable all through the year, and we will definately revisit it at some point, hoping to get a better photo of the heron.

I have no idea what these are- but they looked interesting.

Holly saw a couple of cats lurking through the undergrowth- so she was super excited. She also posed for her summer portrait and played catch with Amy's empty coke bottle!
