THURSDAY 13- August roundup

1. Current scent- My everyday perfume at the moment is M&S Autograph New York. A huge bottle is £12 and whilst I can't afford my fave perfumes, this one smells lovely. I also bought some Burberry Weekend in Boots as it was on special offer. Burberry Brit is one of my all time favourites.

2. What I am reading- Savour the Moment- Nora Roberts. I love Nora Roberts books- but I can't seem to force myself to sit down with this one. I've put it aside and read another one- but want to finish it now.

3. Newest Music added to playlist- I haven't really listened to much music recently and have no idea what is in the charts. Amy is trying to learn the Duelling Banjo's on her guitar for my dad, so we have little excerpts of that occasionally.

4. Movie I saw- the latest movie we watched from Love Films was Did you hear about the Morgans featuring Hugh Grant. I'd not heard anything about this one- but quite enjoyed it. We have Avatar and Shutter Island at home now.

5. Something yummy- Coffee cake at Buffet Island on Monday. I've seen a recipe on Jo's blog that I must try soon.

6. Last place I ate- We went out to Buffet Island on Tuesday to celebrate Amy and Emma's exam success. It's Emma's favourite place to eat- which makes it everyone's preferred place to eat- less moaning!

7. Something that made me laugh- Holly makes me laugh every day. We bought her 2 new balls yesterday and she knows as soon as you walk in. She wraps herself in knots trying to look in the bags!

8. Something I look forward to in September- My birthday! We usually go to Drayton Manor- but as Sue's going through chemo at the moment I think we are all thinking of going to the Black Country Living Museum

9. Something I want to remember from August- our holiday in Cornwall. The weather wasn't brilliant but we took some lovely photos.

10. Favourite photo this month - this one has to be my favourite photo this month. We did think that we'd have to cancel our holiday- but we managed to get everyone down there- and although we didn't get out and about as much as normal- we did get everyone up to Millenium point for our annual photo.

11. Favourite meal this month- It's going to be the lasagne that Amy has cooked for tonight!

12. Favourite place we've visited this month- Has to be Perranporth- I would love to live there.

13. In the garden this month- Guy's dad put some weedkiller down as we had some enormous weeds sprout whilst we were away. It can take 10 days to work- but I think the rain must have stopped it working. We really need to get out there and prune things back. We should be out there enjoying the views now!
