This cute little duckling was a right bully. He chased 2 full grown ducks away and wouldn't let them anywhere near him when he thought he was going to be fed. It was quite a sight to watch him bully the other ducks. They must be very late ducklings as the others we saw were weeks ago.
Guy saw the Heron and a Kingfisher here on Saturday and he took me back to see if I could spot them on Sunday. I would LOVE to see a kingfisher.
The heron was there again- we found another part of the reserve to walk round. The next photo shows how close it is to the industrial estate- but there is a huge expanse of water and it is so peaceful there.
The water lilies are about to come out- they will look so beautiful. I still find it hard to believe that we've lived here 20 years and this year is the first time we've known it existed!
