We always take a birthday photo of the girls at 17.57 (and 17.57.5) - the exact time they were born every year. The idea is to have a 17.57 album eventually. I had to snap this one before Amy went off to her swimming teaching! She really didn't want to go on her birthday- but trying to instil a bit of work ethic there!!!!!!! She only teaches for an hour on a Monday. So it's also been exactly a year since she qualified! They have to be 16- and the club put back the exam for a week- so that Amy could take it- and it was actually on her 16th birthday! One of the swimming club people actually bought in cupcakes for everyone that day.
They enjoyed their birthday and had lots of nice pressies. Emma loves her ipod dock stereo and Amy loves her new camera. I THINK they liked their new clothes- although Emma thinks clothes are boring- and I don't get it right with Amy usually. Emma had mostly dvd's and Amy had bags, clothes, money etc. Her aunt bought her a bench top/jacket that she loves - good old Aunty Tina!
They had a chocolate fudge cake from Costco and it was really sickly. I've sent Emma with a tiny piece for her lunch- but all the containers had disappeared out of the cupboard so think Amy's room must need raiding. She tends to take pasta to school.
