Things are back on the up hopefully!

The drains are now fixed thankfully and the washing machine has been working overtime ever since. I had almost cleared the ironing- but will have loads more soon! He's coming back next week to reconcrete around the drain. He couldn't do that this week- because the ground was too boggy. We needed some dry weather and some sunshine- but it's been wet and cold ever since.

The car went in again and the problems they'd identified last time- didn't need doing. But unfortunately this elusive problem won't show on the diagnostic computer- they took it out attached to the computer and didn't show anything. They have a Ford Galaxy in at the moment with a similar problem and he's left it for a few days- so they can take it out on day trips to see if they can find it!!!!!!!!! So Guy is going to have a chat to my uncle who used to have a garage for any ideas- and they may try to tell the computer to reset something- forget what it was. It looks as though it's a computer fault rather than anything mechanical. But it might have to go into Ford. At the moment it isn't playing up- and we're planning to drive over to my parents to test it out a bit. Hope we don't need to call the RAC out with the dog in the car.

Holly is getting a bit more phobic- she hates buses- but now she hates the intercity trains aswell. One way we used to walk was on the bus route and the other way - across the canal the intercity trains fly past. She's now decided that they are just as scary. She puts her paw on her lead and that means it's time to go home. Yesterday I only got round the corner and one of the council trucks was out- and I couldn't get her any further. Looks like she's hankering after the walks that come after a car ride! We might have to try anxiety medicine with her- as she's not walking far at all now.

We went to Costco with Guy's parents for lunch- and his dad saw something he wanted for CHristmas. So that was something easily sorted and more of a sucess than last years coffe perculator. We had to take that back to Costco.

I have almost convinced myself that I can have a Kindle. I have 20 pound worth of Tescos vouchers and have found an online voucher (if they get them back in stock before xmas) - so I can almost get it for 50 pound. We were in carphone warehouse today- and they are offering one free with a blackberry curve contract. I didn't check it too closely as mine isn't up until May. Virgin were doing a great offer for 8.99 that Amy has just had. Guy seems to think it's a good idea- and I checked it again in the shop today. I wanted to take the black bags of clothes to the clothes for cash shop today- but he said the road was flooded. Hopefully that would be another 20 pound off it. Soon they'll be paying me to have one!

I treated myself to a bauble tree today to go in the centre of the table over xmas. I wanted one last year- and this years version isn't exactly the colours I went for last year, but think it will look nice in there.

I also went to the library and picked up some xmassy books and the Sue Johnston autobiography. Guy zipped off to the charity car wash at the Fire Station- didn't he think I might have liked to have tagged along!!!!! He managed to find a lady firefighter!
