Perranporth is looking more promising

Mum's practice nurse phoned her yesterday and told her that she must go on holiday. When it is a bit closer to the time they are going to write a letter and send packs of dressings so that dad's leg can be dressed. Apparently her doctor who they have known for at least 45 years and the nurse have been chatting and decided that it is important that they get to go. My sister won't be able to travel later in the summer. Apparently the doctor had previously said that dad wouldn't be able to go. I knew my mum was keeping that info from me! So hopefully my dad's leg will continue to improve and we can find some way of getting different sets of people out and about in Cornwall.

We usually take a family photo at the sundial- and maybe we can drive the 'invalids' up in the car.

I want to walk to St Agnes this year- although now that Sue isn't driving I am not sure I want to walk there and back. I could catch a bus back probably!

We had originally planned to take a walk every evening somewhere a bit different. I think we'll need to rethink the holiday plans to try and make sure everyone has a chance to go somewhere.

One of Sue's ambitions is to have a meal at the bar on the beach- The Watering Hole. She isn't sure she can manage to walk that far and don't think we'll manage the wheelchair. SO Guy has had a great idea! He's going to ask one of the lifeguards whether he would give her a lift on one of the beach buggies. They do drive around the beach- and it's a possibility. I imagine there are probably all sorts of health and safety rules which probably prevent it- or a worry that they'd be transporting EVERY old or infirm person across the beach!
