I'm really enjoying this challenge- and have just finished books 11 and 12.
Denial by Coleen Nolan is her second novel set in the late night talk show world. The girls want to get back together to restart the programme- after they were all sacked in the last novel. They all have their own personal demons to face- but work together to take on the tv channel head. He is found murdered and all of them had a motive and the opportunity to kill him. Coleen based one of the characters on herself. I enjoyed her first novel more- but this was a great read.
This is Fern Britton's first novel (and I previously checked that I could use her for this challenge). She has a couple of cookbooks and an autobiography under her belt. Christie gets a job as a daytime tv presenter and has to start juggling her professional and family life. Her mum is helping her out with babysitting- but they clash sometimes. It was a nice read- and very similar in style to Coleen Nolans. They have both set their books in the world they inhabit! I would read another book by Fern.
