I went to the Cadbury's staff shop yesterday with my friend- and got a tin of choccies and a few other things really cheap. As I am a bit behind with my walks I took my camera along and we walked around the Cadbury Estate. Unfortunately the 'fully' charged battery died on me- so most of the photos are chocolatey! This was a huge Chocolate Christmas tree in the foyer to Cadbury World.
The perfect pressie for a chocolate and shoe loving lady! £12.99 in the main shop- but did look pretty!
It's sucha shame that Cadbury's is no longer a British Company. It's been producing Chocolate for over 100 years and was a huge employer in the Bournville area of Birmingham. The Cadbury's were quakers and the mile around the factory are free from pubs! They had housing that were let to the factory workers for peppercorn rents- they organised day trips and holidays for their staff and created recreation grounds for both the male and female staff- totally seperate OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!
They still give their staff- current and retired a Christmas box- and we see people come to collect them. It's nice (or it was nice) to see a company that still takes staff welfare to heart!
