Animal Encounter- week 13

This weeks theme was animals and my parents live by an animal rescue centre. The donkey was really nosey and tried to look in the lens. They come running over to say Hello. I took lots of stone garden animals at my parents house and on the way home we stopped to take photos of the lambs. The goat didn't like Holly at all and head butted the fence.
This walk was quite short- I retraced my route to primary school. We walked past the old doctors surgery- but had trouble remembering which was the dentist surgery because a lot of the houses have been remodelled and I remembered it as being a longer walk than it actually waS! The school had some huge trees in the playground that weren't there whilst I was there. It made me feel ancient to see how much they have grown in that time. The old oak tree was still there- I must have loved trees from an early age!
Here are a couple of the animal shots.
This one is the church that we should have been married from. We could see it from the lambs field. Whilst they were doing repairs it was discovered that the floor wasn't strong enough to support the bell tower and it had to be closed. 20 years on it appears to have supported the bell tower just fine! The vicar at the time wanted a brand new church- the local community wanted the church repaired. They still worship in a school hall! The bell tower is supposed to be quite a rare example of it's type. We really must take a walk up and see how close you can still get to it.

The reason we had a fairly short walk - was that Guy's parents had their dinner dance the night before. Amy stayed at Tina's house and Emma was at my parents. We didn't get home until nearly 2am- which with the hour going forward meant it was closer to 3am! The next day we had to collect them both!
The dinner was held at Drayton Manor and I think his parents had a wonderful time. I haven't seen the photos from his dad's camera which Guy was using, yet- so these ones are from the Panasonic.
